Wet vs Dry Contacts: Which control type do I need?

  • Wet contact control means that power is provided by the sign and is controlled by completing a "loop" from the sign, to a switch, relay or other means, then back to an input on the sign.
  • Dry contact control means that power is provided from another source, such as a traffic signal cabinet's load switch output.
